Let it Be Halo Therapy Cancellation Policy Effective Date: Feb/1/2024 At Let it Be Halo Therapy, we value your time and commitment to your well-being. To ensure a smooth and respectful experience for all of our clients, we have established the following cancellation policy: 1. **Cancellation Notice**: We kindly request that you provide at least 24 hours' notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another client in need of our services. 2. **Late Cancellation or No-Show**: In the event of a late cancellation (less than 24 hours' notice) or a no-show, a cancellation fee of50% the cost of service will be charged. This fee helps us compensate our practitioners and cover overhead costs associated with your appointment. 3. **Multiple Late Cancellations or No-Shows**: Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in the requirement of a pre-payment for future appointments or the inability to book future appointments with Let it Be Halo Therapy. 4. **Exceptions**: We understand that emergencies and unexpected situations can arise. If you have a legitimate reason for missing your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss the situation. 5. **Appointment Changes**: We encourage you to contact us well in advance if you need to reschedule your appointment. We will do our best to accommodate your request, depending on practitioner availability. 6. **Confirmation**: We send appointment reminders via automated email for your convenience. • Can I use the devices too much / for too long?
There is an upside down U shaped response curve when it comes to red light benefits More is not always better! The great thing about Halotherpy Solutions’ red light devices is that you can reap the same benefits in less time versus other products on the market. 5-15 minutes a day is really all you will need. Having said that, Red (620-700nm) and NIR (800-900nm) light is very safe and there are no known negative side effects after over 3,000 clinical studies.
  • What are the EMF levels?
Our devices are engineered to have low EMFs. However, anything with electric current running through it is going to generate some electromagnetic field. At the recommended usage distance of 6+ inches, our devices emit no detectable levels of EMF. On balance, our devices are going to be much lower in EMFs than other products because our lights contain only the electrical components needed to power and cool the lights (nothing extraneous added such as Bluetooth / WiFi). Of particular concern are products which come with an ‘app’. Having an app necessitates a WiFi / Bluetooth signal from the device. Many times these devices can emit a signal even when they are not in use! This means you could be unknowingly polluting your environment with EMFs 24/7
  • What is beam angle and why does it matter?
Some LED light manufacturers use a wide beam angle of 90 degrees. The problem with using a wide beam angle is that the power density drops quickly over a distance. The angle at which light comes out of a light source is the main factor in determining how the power density drops over a distance. Wide beam angles (90 degrees) make the power density weaken very soon. If you are planning to use the light to treat a larger area (and therefore plan on sitting/standing back further from the device), you absolutely want a narrower beam angle. Our red lights use a narrow beam angle of 60 degrees to ensure therapeutic power density at further distances.
  • How do Photobiomodulation (PBM) / Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) work?
The most well-studied mechanism of action surrounding red and near-infrared light therapy is increased Mitochondrial energy production in the cells. Mitochondria are tiny organelles that are the energy power plants of all the cells in our body. Red and near-infrared light therapy helps the Mitochondria create more of that energy. The specific photons found in red and near-infrared light interact with photoreceptors within our cells called cytochrome c oxidase. This interaction stimulates the mitochondria in our cells to use oxygen more efficiently, which allows the mitochondria to produce more ATP (adenosine triphosphate). Adenosine triphosphate is a complex organic chemical that provides energy to drive many processes in living cells, e.g. muscle contraction, nerve impulse propagation, and chemical synthesis. Found in all forms of life, ATP is often referred to as the “molecular unit of currency” of intracellular energy transfer. When our cells have more energy, they simply perform better and the body follows suit! Below is a link to a 3rd party compilation of over 4000 scientific studies on Photobiomodulation (PBM) / Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT).
  • Are your lights third-party tested and validated?
Our lights have been third-party tested and validated by an independent testing laboratory. Other red light therapy lights on the market may appear similar – but the reality is unless those companies publish transparent, independent testing data, you just don’t know what you are getting. And again, our customers’ real-life results speak volumes.
  • Do I need safety glasses with this light?
While there is a growing body of scientific research suggesting that modest amounts of red and NIR LED light may benefit certain eye conditions, our plug-in lights are very bright! As such, goggles are provided and should be worn when facing the lights, particularly when NIR is active. When using, DO NOT stare directly into the light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Again, our Red Lights are very bright and if you have any eye problems, or any other health conditions at all, please consult with a licensed healthcare professional before using a red light therapy device.
